Tim Gravestock studied graphic design at The Central School of Art and Design, London, graduating with BA hons in 1980. In the same year he was commissioned by The National Portrait Gallery, London, to design a set of four general posters which remained in use until 1987.

Tim has continued to work freelance in the fields of graphic design, illustration and digital imaging for a broad range of clients in the music industry, contemporary dance, publishing and the fine art world, including EMI, Decca and Virgin Classics, Bi Ma Dance Company, Penguin Group, Transworld, Macmillan, Random House and in magazine publications worldwide.

In 1995 he created the physical presence of a radical new instrument, 'The Chromasone' for old friend, Walter Fabeck and, in July 2004, event managed "Underkurrent" a live electronic music event at Trinity Buoy Wharf in London's Docklands which included a sonic boat trip from and back to the West End.

His work has been included in exhibitions in London at the Victoria and Albert Museum, The Association of Photographers Gallery, The Association of Illustrators, Hamiltons Gallery, The Affordable Art Fair and The Conningsby Gallery, in addition to numerous regional exhibitions.
